Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
This website is operated by Ciara Smith Consulting, Limerick, Ireland ("I", "me"). This policy explains what personal data is collected when you use ciarasmithconsulting.com, why, and the rights you have over it under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
What I collect, and why
- The Buyer Access Checklist form. If you request the checklist, your name, email address and company name are collected so the checklist can be sent to you. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Booking a call. If you book a qualifying call, the booking is handled by Calendly, who collect your name, email address and the time you choose so the call can happen. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- Email. If you email me directly, I hold your correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any engagement that follows.
- Cookies. See the Cookie Policy. Nothing optional is set without your consent.
Who processes it
Form submissions are processed by MailerLite (MailerLite Limited, Dublin, Ireland), who store subscriber data on my behalf. Call bookings are processed by Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA), who transfer data outside the EEA under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Neither is permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
What I do not do
I do not sell personal data, share it with anyone for marketing, or use it for automated decision-making. The checklist signup adds you to one list, which sends the checklist and occasional related material; there is no follow-up sequence.
How long I keep it
Checklist subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe or after a prolonged period of inactivity, whichever comes first. Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to two years after the enquiry closes. Client records are kept for seven years, as Irish tax law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email ciara@ciarasmithconsulting.com. If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), though I would appreciate the chance to resolve it first.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
